More than 75 destinations and new services

Iberia has designed its winter programme with a strong commitment to restoring flights and services, thereby helping to bolster the country’s economic recovery and a return to normality in a safe environment.

This season, all the group’s airlines (Iberia, Iberia Express and Iberia Regional Air Nostrum) will offer flights to more than 75 destinations in 30 countries in Europe, the Americas and Africa. While the frequency of flights remains limited, we have created a programme designed to facilitate business travel that makes it easy, for example, to take a same-day return flight between the main destinations in Spain and other parts of Europe.

As a result, two or more daily flights in each direction are offered on 80 per cent of domestic flights. The densest routes have several daily flights – such as the Air Shuttle, with seven flights in each direction – and the areas from which they operate are once again open. In Europe, the daily multi-frequency reaches 32 per cent of destinations. 

As for the Americas – with flights to São Paulo having resumed in October, and flights to Rio de Janeiro in December, and to Medellin and Cali during the Christmas season – we are offering scheduled or special flights to a total of 20 destinations in 16 Latin American countries and the US.

Restoration of services

Iberia is gradually restoring the in-flight service on all flights with a new proposal that ensures complete safety while offering the opportunity to enjoy fresh food and/or hot meals. 

What’s more, the Sala Premium Dalí lounge has also reopened at Madrid’s Airport T4, serving Business, Iberia Plus Oro, Platino and Infinita customers on all short- medium- and long-haul flights. Stringent new protocols have been implemented in the lounge to guarantee our customers’ safety, from separate entrances and exits, the enhancement of cleaning and disinfection measures, the availability of hand sanitiser dispensers in various areas and a reduction in the number of seats, among other measures. The Sala Premium Dalí lounge also has a new gastronomic offering to enhance the customer journey.

In these times, it is essential for Iberia to have our customers’ complete confidence, both when purchasing tickets and when travelling. This is why we have implemented measures in several areas: hygiene and safety throughout the travel experience; flexibility when buying tickets; detailed information on the restrictions applicable in each country; and agreements with regular suppliers to facilitate carrying out discounted priority PCR tests for our customers.
