Supporting hospitals and their staff

Iberia has made several donations of medical supplies to help hospitals and protect their staff in Madrid, in collaboration with its employee-backed NGO Mano a Mano (Hand to Hand), the Health Agency of the Madrid regional government, the logistics company ALAER, and SAMUR (Madrid’s public ambulance service and civil defence agency).

The company has donated more than 6,000 duvets, 1,000 pillows and 1,200 pillow cases for the emergency field hospital being set up at the IFEMA convention centre in Madrid. It is now preparing a new donation of inflight toiletry kits with toothbrushes, toothpaste, combs, and socks.

More than 4,000 cellulose hospital gowns belonging to the company’s own medical service have been donated to the Gregorio Marañón hospital in the Spanish capital. The Mano a Mano NGO founded by Iberia employees is also contributing 1,500 disposable Barrier gowns to the same hospital.
