Iberia is increasing its connections with the Dominican Republic for the winter
The airline is committed to this Caribbean destination for the new season and is increasing the number of flights and seats available to its customers between October and March. In addition, it continues its commitment to sustainability by using the A330-300 aircraft, reducing emissions by 15 per cent.
Iberia includes the Dominican Republic among its priority destinations and will increase capacity on the route to Santo Domingo by more than 20 per cent for the winter season. Between October 2024 and March 2025, the company will progressively increase frequency, so that eight flights per week from Madrid will land in the Dominican capital in November, ten in December and 11 in January (compared to the current seven weekly flights).
This winter season alone, there will be almost 125,000 seats connecting Spain with the Dominican Republic – an increase of more than 20 per cent compared to last year and 50 per cent compared to 2019 figures. In total, Iberia offers its customers around 230,000 seats a year between Europe and this Caribbean destination.
Iberia will operate this route up to five times a week with the A330-300, a next-generation airplane with a 15 per cent reduction in consumption compared to its predecessors and a total of 292 seats. In addition to the Business and Economy cabins, it includes Premium Economy, a totally differentiated cabin that, for a small difference in price, offers wider and more comfortable seats that recline further, larger screens, more leg space and its own on-board experience, with a different dishes served on crockery, among other details.
